Privacy Policy for Glide Touch

Last updated: September 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Glide Touch ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") accesses, uses, processes, and protects information when you use the App.

Glide Touch provides accessibility and device utility features, including a floating assistive menu, device controls, app shortcuts, screen-related actions, barcode or QR scanning, and other user-requested functions.

We are committed to minimizing data collection and only requesting access that is necessary to provide features explicitly used or enabled by you.

1. Information We Collect

Glide Touch does not require you to create an account to use the App.

Most device information accessed by Glide Touch for its core functionality is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Some diagnostic and analytics information may be transmitted to third-party services such as Google Firebase, as described below, when the applicable data collection features are enabled.

2. Analytics

Glide Touch may use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how users interact with the App and to help us improve its functionality and user experience.

Analytics collection is enabled only after you provide consent where the App presents such a choice.

When enabled, Google Analytics for Firebase may automatically collect information such as:

We may also record custom analytics events relating to the use of App features. We do not intentionally include the contents of your screen, files, photos, microphone recordings, camera images, passwords, messages, or other sensitive content in analytics events.

3. Crash Reports and Diagnostics

Glide Touch uses Firebase Crashlytics to help identify crashes, errors, Application Not Responding (ANR) events, and other technical problems.

Crash reports may contain technical information including:

We may manually record non-fatal exceptions, diagnostic logs, and technical context in Crashlytics to help diagnose and resolve software problems.

We do not intentionally add passwords, screen contents, personal files, microphone recordings, camera content, or other sensitive user content to Crashlytics reports.

4. Accessibility Service

Glide Touch uses Android's Accessibility Service API to provide user-requested assistive and device interaction features.

Depending on the features you enable, Accessibility access may allow the App to observe information about the currently displayed user interface and perform actions on your behalf, such as navigation or other accessibility-powered actions initiated or configured by you.

Accessibility access is used only to provide the App's user-facing functionality. Glide Touch does not sell Accessibility Service data and does not use Accessibility Service data for advertising or marketing.

Information accessed through the Accessibility Service for core functionality is processed locally on your device unless a specific feature explicitly informs you otherwise. The App does not intentionally transmit the contents of your screen obtained through the Accessibility Service to our servers.

5. Installed Applications and App Visibility

Glide Touch may access information about applications installed on your device in order to provide features that allow you to view, select, configure, or launch installed applications from Glide Touch shortcuts or menus.

Depending on your Android version and device configuration, this may require broad app visibility, including access associated with Android's QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission.

Installed application information may include application names, package identifiers, launch availability, and icons. This information is used only to provide app-selection, app-shortcut, and app-launching functionality requested by you.

We do not sell installed-app information, use it for advertising, or use it to build a profile of you for marketing purposes.

Important: The App's use of installed-app visibility is limited to user-facing functionality that requires discovering and selecting installed applications.

6. Camera Access

Glide Touch may request access to your device's camera for features that require it, such as scanning QR codes or barcodes and other camera-related functions explicitly initiated by you.

Camera images or video are not transmitted to our servers for advertising or analytics purposes.

7. Microphone Access

Some Glide Touch features, such as screen recording with audio or other audio-related functionality, may require microphone access.

Microphone access is used only when required by a feature explicitly initiated or enabled by you. Glide Touch does not continuously record your microphone in the background for advertising or analytics purposes.

8. Location Access

Certain device-control or location-related features may require Android location permission or access to location-related system functionality.

Location access is used only when necessary to provide a feature you explicitly request. Glide Touch does not use precise location information for advertising.

9. Files, Photos, Media, and Storage

Glide Touch may request access to files, photos, media, or storage when required for features such as saving screenshots, screen recordings, exported content, or accessing content explicitly selected by you.

Files and media accessed for local App functionality are not uploaded to our servers unless a feature explicitly informs you that an upload or sharing operation will occur.

10. Screenshots and Screen Recording

Glide Touch may provide features for capturing screenshots or recording your screen. These features are initiated by you and may require Android's screen-capture authorization.

Screen captures and recordings may contain sensitive information depending on what is displayed on your screen. Glide Touch does not use the contents of screenshots or screen recordings for advertising or analytics.

Captured content is stored or processed according to the action you request and is not automatically uploaded to our servers.

11. Device Administrator Access

Glide Touch may request Device Administrator access for specific device-management functionality, such as locking the device when you explicitly request that action.

Device Administrator access is used only to perform the device-management functionality described to you when you enable it.

12. System Settings Access

Certain features may require permission to modify Android system settings. This permission may be used to perform user-requested actions or implement settings-related functionality offered by Glide Touch.

Glide Touch changes system settings only as required by features you use or configure.

13. Other Device Permissions

Depending on your Android version, device manufacturer, and the features you choose to use, Glide Touch may request additional permissions or special access.

Permissions are requested in connection with features that require them. You can choose not to grant optional permissions, although the associated feature may then be unavailable.

14. On-Device Processing

Where possible, Glide Touch performs processing directly on your device. For example, features that use on-device machine-learning technology may process input locally without sending that content to our servers.

15. Third-Party Services

Glide Touch may use services provided by Google, including:

These services may process technical, analytics, or diagnostic information according to their respective privacy policies and terms.

16. Advertising

Glide Touch does not sell personal data.

We do not use Accessibility Service data, installed-app inventory, screen contents, camera content, microphone recordings, personal files, screenshots, or screen recordings for targeted advertising.

17. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

Information may be processed by service providers such as Google Firebase solely as necessary to provide analytics, crash reporting, diagnostics, and related technical services that we use.

We may also disclose information where required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid governmental request.

18. Data Retention

Information processed only locally by Glide Touch remains on your device until it is deleted by the App, removed by you, cleared through Android, or removed when the App is uninstalled, depending on the type of information.

Analytics and crash-reporting information processed by Google Firebase is retained according to the applicable Firebase and Google settings, policies, and retention controls.

19. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled by the App. However, no electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We minimize the transmission of sensitive information by performing App functionality locally on the device whenever reasonably possible.

20. Children's Privacy

Glide Touch is not specifically designed for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for advertising purposes.

21. Your Choices and Controls

You can control many of Glide Touch's data-access capabilities through Android settings and the settings available within the App.

Revoking a permission may prevent the corresponding feature from functioning.

22. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Glide Touch's features, permissions, third-party services, or legal requirements change.

When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
